Real estate broker Cushman & Wakefield has hired the team behind Coady Supple, a UK-based specialist retail investment advisor.
Robin Coady and Dermot Supple, who founded the company in 2011, will join C&W as international partners while David Sadler arrives as a partner.
The move is part of a wider expansion of C&W's UK retail and Leisure team, following the appointment of Peter Hutton as head of retail in Scotland and Duncan Gilliard as partner in the central London retail team.
Coady Supple was the first UK firm to focus on shopping centre transactions and has advised on more than 40 deals in the UK and Ireland with a total value of £2 bn (€2.3 bn) Major transactions include selling the Tiger and Britannica portfolios for £260 mln and £250 mln respectively, advising Ballymore on the £105 mln sale of old Spitalfields Market and assisting Royal London Asset Management with the purchase of a £155 mln stake in the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.
