Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has appointed George Roberts, JLL's former head of West End office agency, as head of its London occupier team. Roberts will be responsible for overseeing C&W's delivery of a full range of services for occupiers across all London office markets.

He will work alongside James Young, head of London office agency and Guy Taylor, head of West End office agency.

George joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 1995 and specialised in The City Office market before moving to The West End in 2000 to take responsibility for the West End Tenant Representation business. He was promoted in 2005 to regional director and subsequently took responsibility for JLL's West End office agency team.

C&W reported last month that new requirements for London office space totalling almost 1 million sq ft were launched by major corporate occupiers in the last six weeks. In London, C&W advises key occupiers such as the US Government, Citi, Sainsbury's, Thomson Reuters and Interpublic.
