Cushman & Wakefield has opened a new office in Luxembourg 'to meet increased demand and take advantage of the growth opportunities that exist in what continues to be a strong and stable real estate market'.

C&W - which for over 20 years has managed its activities in the country from its Belgian headquarters in Brussels - is already active in the area of retail brokerage, asset management, investment, and valuation. The firm claims to be particularly strong in the retail sector and is the leading shopping centre leasing agent in Luxembourg.

The new office will open with a team of five with plans to expand to a total of eight professionals by the end of the year.

Koen Nevens, managing partner of C&W's Brussels office said: 'The Luxembourg professional real estate market is characterized by strong rents, a relatively low vacancy rate, great dynamics, stable values, and a healthy growth.'
