Property adviser Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its global business consulting service line by launching a new team in EMEA to complement its US and Asia units. The EMEA team is being led from London by the new head of global business consulting, Tim Carnegie, alongside senior consultant Alex Ash.
C&W said the move was a response to soaring demand from corporates seeking efficiency savings and new profitable markets since the economic downturn began to bite in mid-2008. Many companies are now seeking to rationalise and optimise their property portfolios and many are looking to relocate to lower cost or closer to market locations, it added.
'Ongoing market turmoil has forced many companies to re-examine their current and future operating platform and its capacity to respond to the volatile demands of the global marketplace. This represents a unique opportunity for us to help our clients future-proof their operating platforms and strengthen their bottom line,' Carnegie said.
The EMEA team has already secured mandates from biopharma, agribusiness, automotive and financial services companies.
