Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Barbara Koreniouguine as head of France.
Koreniouguine’s career prior to Cushman & Wakefield includes serving as CEO of Allianz Real Estate France, leading the business in France and Benelux, with executive responsibility for acquisitions, asset management and property management across a portfolio of assets worth €7.6 bn. She was most recently managing director of Leon Grosse Immobilier, an office, residential and hotel developer.
She has also held senior leadership positions at BNP Paribas Real Estate where she served as deputy managing director at BNP Paribas Real Estate Residential and Corporate Property and Executive Chairman at BNP Paribas Real Estate Commercial and Residential Development, as well as Icade Group, one of France’s largest REITs, where she spent 10 years.
Koreniouguine will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of Cushman & Wakefield’s business in France, which was strengthened earlier in the year with the strategic acquisition of leading design & build contractor Réponse. This added an in-house design & build capability to the firm’s existing range of services which include Agency, Asset Services, Capital Markets, Development, Hospitality, Occupier Services and Valuation & Advisory.
Koreniouguine succeeds Antoine Derville who led Cushman & Wakefield France from 2013. Commenting on her new role, she said: ‘It’s an honour to take up this position with Cushman & Wakefield which is at the forefront of value-adding insight and advice. This has never been in greater demand from real estate occupiers and owners than in this current period of economic and social change.’
