Global real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has been appointed the exclusive agent for Ikea's Port Lodz shopping centre project in Poland. The project is the seventh investment of its type by Inter Ikea Centre Polska in Poland.

Global real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has been appointed the exclusive agent for Ikea's Port Lodz shopping centre project in Poland. The project is the seventh investment of its type by Inter Ikea Centre Polska in Poland.

Comprising 127,000 m2 of space, Port Lodz will be one of the largest shopping centres in the Lodz region. The complex will include restaurants, a 7,000 m2 leisure area and 270 shops of Polish and international brands from various sectors. Ikea will operate a 33,000 m2 store in the centre.

Delivery of the project is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2009.

Inter IKEA Centre Polska, owned by the Swedish Ikea Group, is both investor and developer for the Port Lodz's project. The company has been active in the Polish market since 1988 and owns a total of six shopping centres, including two in Warsaw. It also developing Bulwary Poznanskie, the first retail city in Poland.
