Toronto-listed private equity firm Onex Corporation has completed the acquisition of Parkdean Resorts in the UK for £1.35 bn (€1.6 bn).
Parkdean Resorts operates 24 self-catering holiday parks. Fifteen are located in the South West of England, six in Scotland, two in South Wales and one in Norfolk. The company was established in 1999 and offers caravan holiday homes, lodges, apartments and chalets, which are available for short breaks and longer holidays throughout the year.
Onex Partners IV fund and co-investors made an equity investment of $627 mln (€514 mln). Onex's share of the investment as a limited partner in the fund and as a co-investor was $170 mln.
