Credit Agricole Asset Management Real Estate said on Thursday that it has appointed Nicolas Simon and Nicolas Kert to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) respectively.

Credit Agricole Asset Management Real Estate said on Thursday that it has appointed Nicolas Simon and Nicolas Kert to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) respectively.

Simon began his career in 1989 as senior property consultant at Auguste-Thouard. In 1993, he became head of regional commercial property and then deputy international director at SMCI (part of the Crédit Lyonnais group), before taking up the role of asset manager and commercial manager at CDR Immobilier in 1995. He then joined Generali Immobilier, where from 1996 to 2003 he was head of commercial property and director of investment, before being appointed director of asset management and investment. In May 2003, he became head of property, chairman of Henderson Global Investors France. Since 2005, he has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Asset Management Real Estate.

Kert began his career in 1999 as an analyst and then head of reporting at Generali Immobilier. In 2003, he was appointed head of portfolio management. He joined Crédit Agricole Asset Management Real Estate in 2006 as head of asset and portfolio management for commercial property. Since 2008, he has been head of asset and portfolio management for all of CAAM RE's real estate funds.

CAAM RE has EUR 3.6 bn of assets under management through 14 funds for a total of 100,000 customers. CAAM RE was one of the first companies to obtain authorisation from the French securities regulator, AMF, in June 2007 to manage OPCIs. CAAM RE is also France’s second-largest SCPI management company in terms of market capitalisation.
