CA Immo, the owner of five office buildings in Romania with 106,000 m2 of space, said on Thursday that it has started a new office development in Bucharest.

Orhideea Towers is located in the Central-West area of Bucharest and represents a total investment volume of €75 mln.

The project will offer 37,000 m2 of space across two H-shaped towers, which will be linked by a bridge hidden behind a glass façade. It will also offer 406 parking spaces.

The construction started earlier this month with the entire project expected to be delivered in 2017.

'Our standing office portfolio in Bucharest has been nearly fully let during recent years,' commented Bruno Ettenauer, CEO of CA Immo. 'In order to meet the growing demand for office space of our existing tenants, we decided to strengthen our local market position by developing a new office building, meeting all our quality criteria in terms of location, architecture and technical design.'

On completion, Orhideea Towers will be included in CA Immo's investment portfolio.
