The Lakeview office building in Bucharest has become the first building in Romania to achieve a BREEAM rating, certification body BRE Global said in a press release. The building, which was developed by AIG/Lincoln Hungary and is due for completion in December 2009, was awarded a Very Good (Design and Procurement) rating.

Paul Gibbon, BRE Global’s Director of Sustainability said: 'This is an excellent achievement for the first BREEAM-rated building in Romania. AIG/Lincoln have made this building more sustainable which will bring long-term benefits to the owners, future occupiers and everyone who uses the building.'
The Lakeview office building is located in north Bucharest and has a gross floor area of 28,000m2 over 15 floors. Future tenants will include ABM Amro Bank, Colgate and PricewaterhouseCoopers
