Designed by Behnisch Architekten, the tower was developed by DC Residential & Co. and Hochtief Projektentwicklung. The winner In the category hotels & tourism resorts was Kameha Grand Bonn in Bonn, developed by BonnVisio Real Estate.

Four of the winners were located in Brussels. The winner in the business centres category was GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals for its Odyssey W23 building, while the STIB/MIVB Headquarters developed by Herpain Urbis was the winner in the refurbished office buildings category. Herpain Urbis was also the developer of Solaris, the winner in the category green buildings. The jury presented a Special Award to the Square Brussels Meeting Centre, also in Brussels.

For the first time, the Mipim Awards Jury paid Special Tribute to a Polish project: to andel's Hotel Lodz in Lodz which was developed by Warimpex Finanz- und Beteiligungs.
