Brookfield's Multiplex European Property Fund has completed the sale of the Monti portfolio with the divestment of a retail property package comprising 61 assets to Marathon Asset Management for €168 mln.

Brookfield's Multiplex European Property Fund has completed the sale of the Monti portfolio with the divestment of a retail property package comprising 61 assets to Marathon Asset Management for €168 mln.

The Multiplex European Property Fund is managed by Brookfield Capital Management and is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

The portfolio comprises 61 properties spread across Germany and consisting mainly of retail assets, DIY-stores and two logistics properties. The properties were part of the so-called Monti Portfolio which has now been fully sold.

Brookfield Asset Management inherited the assets from its takeover of Australian contractor Multiplex.

GSK Stockmann + Kollegen advised on the sale of the portfolio, including previous divestments such as the sale of five nursing homes to the special fund, Patrizia Pflege-Invest Deutschland I.
