US Brookfield Asset Management's European arm has appointed German real estate asset manager Corpus Sireo as the new property and asset manager of its German portfolio.
As part of the four-year service agreement, Corpus Sireo will manage Brookfield's commercial assets with a total of 240,000 m2 across Germany. The appointment was made after a comprehensive and competitive selection process that included major corporate real estate services firms.
'The opportunity to focus our services on Brookfield's continuing initiative to optimise the performance of its German assets and expand its presence in the European property market is very exciting for us,' said Roy Bruemmer, managing director at Corpus Sireo Asset Management. 'I am confident that this relationship will help Brookfield enhance its market position.'
Brookfield Europe owns, manages and invests in high-quality real estate and infrastructure and also provides asset and fund management, development, construction and facilities management in the UK and Europe. The company is owned by Brookfield Asset Management, a global asset manager focused on property, renewable power and infrastructure with over $100 bn (EUR 78 bn) of assets under management.
Cologne-based Corpus Sireo manages real estate valued at EUR 20 bn on behalf of international investors, large corporations and banks.
