Spanish real estate developer Bronapur has mandated Aguirre Newman to market the retail space of the Puerta de Ayud shopping centre project in Calatayud, near Zaragoza, southern Spain. The development, which was designed by architectural firm L35, is being developed by Bronapur and will offer nearly 34,000 m2 of retail surface, representing a total investment of EUR 26 mln.

'This commercial park will be the major retail offering of the area which has a population of nearly 100,000, and will grow to become a destination for the surrounding villages,' said David Martínez Modrón, Aguirre Newman's retail director.

Puerta de Ayud will be anchored by a major department or retail store such as Mercadona, Aki or Lidl, combined with a retail gallery and a parking lot offering 700 parking spaces. Martínez Modrón: 'The marketing process has already started with the signing of important leasing contracts. We are confident that the centre will be successful.'

Aguirre Newman is a Spanish real estate brokerage company with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Lisbon and Miami.

Bronapur, based in Aragona, has developed a number of retail projects in the country such as the Bañera shopping centre in Ejea de los Caballeros and the Sabiñánigo mall.
