French property group Bouygues Immobilier has started the development of the Orange Porte Sud shopping centre located in the new Porte Sud district in Orange, Southern France. Designed by architects Outsign, the scheme will consist of four parts providing a total of 32,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of retail space and 1,200 parking spaces.
French property group Bouygues Immobilier has started the development of the Orange Porte Sud shopping centre located in the new Porte Sud district in Orange, Southern France. Designed by architects Outsign, the scheme will consist of four parts providing a total of 32,000 m2 of retail space and 1,200 parking spaces.
The centre is already let to 37 retailers including Casa, C&A, Kiabi, Jardiland, Celio, Bouygues Telecom, Caisse d'Epargne, and Chausséa. Orange Porte Sud will feature the largest photovoltaic system that is integrated in a building in Europe. It will include a total of 12,000 photovoltaic panels producing the equivalent consumed by a town of 3,500 inhabitants per annum.
Bouygues has signed an agreement with Aerowatt to install and manage the centre.
