Dutch institutional investor Bouwinvest has appointed Friso Berghuis as its new manager of global listed real estate.
Dutch institutional investor Bouwinvest has appointed Friso Berghuis as its new manager of global listed real estate.
Berghuis previously worked in investor relations, having joined Bouwinvest in 2010 as a senior strategic investment advisor. Prior to that he specialised in listed real estate investment at Dutch private bank Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers.
He will take over from Boris van Warmerdam, who is leaving the company, with effect from 1 March.
Stephen Tross, member of the Bouwinvest board responsible for international investments, said: ‘Friso is very qualified to meet the main challenge of his new role in expanding Bouwinvest’s global listed real estate portfolio.’
Bouwinvest is aiming to grow its international real estate portfolio to €3.3 bn by 2018, from a current volume of €2.7 bn. The company has €7.2 bn of assets under management in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
