Dutch investment manager Bouwfonds REIM has acquired three new residential buildings in Germany and Denmark.

The assets were acquired for a combined investment sum of just under €56 mln on behalf of Bouwfonds European Residential Fund.

The open-ended fund has purchased a furnished student complex of 155 apartments in the German city of Karlsruhe for €11.5 mln. The vendor in the transaction is German real estate manager Wohnbau Blumenwinkel Bautrager GmbH.

Bouwfonds REIM has also added two new acquisitions in Copenhagen to its Danish portfolio. The first acquisition is a four-storey residential complex of 98 apartments in the Valby district of the city. The vendor is Danish property developer DFE and the purchase price is €28.7 mln, with a gross rate of return of 6.2%.

The second acquisition is a block of 56 residential units in the Soborg district of the city. The building was bought from Danish property developer Sjaelso for €15.7 mln, with a gross rate of return of 6.3%.

The two acquisitions sees the fund’s Danish portfolio expand to five properties.

Bouwfonds REIM has €5.5 bn assets under management.
