BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed P3's former investment boss Logan Smith as new head of logistics investment for Europe, based in Amsterdam.

BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed P3's former investment boss Logan Smith as new head of logistics investment for Europe, based in Amsterdam.

He will report to Etienne Prongué, international head of investment.

An American national, the 43-year old manager began his career in the US in 1998 at Security Capital Group (now Prologis) in the role of associate before being promoted to vice-president, working mainly in Denver, Los Angeles, London and Amsterdam.

In 2003 he joined Keystone Property Trust in Philadelphia before founding his real estate advisory company Logan Smith Company in 2004.

He joined Realterm Global in Washington DC as senior vice-president of acquisitions for Aeroterm (logistical airport real estate) in 2005, before returning to Prologis in 2008, this time to Amsterdam, as head of European acquisitions and dispositions.

Before joining BNP Paribas Real Estate, he was head of Investment for P3 Logistic Parks.
