BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Jonathan Steel as head of global corporate solutions as part of a strategic drive to grow its international corporate real estate division.

He will report to Lauric Leclerc, deputy CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Based in London, Steel will be responsible for driving the expansion of the adviser’s corporate real estate platform and for integrating its existing offer to international occupiers under the banner of Global Corporate Solutions (GCS).

The GCS team will advise corporate occupiers on their global real estate strategy, including the consolidation or relocation of premises, transaction management, building consultancy and workplace consultancy.

Steel spent the last five years working at CBRE, most recently as Global Alliance director for Barclays, managing 15 million sq ft of Barclay’s real estate portfolio covering strategy, portfolio services and retail and non-retail transaction services.

Prior to this, he spent 12 years at Cushman & Wakefield, the last two of which as a partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s corporate service team, following roles in Gooch Webster and George Trollope.

'This appointment is firmly in line with our strategic ambition to be recognised as one of the leading European corporate real estate advisers,' commented Leclerc.
