French property manager BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management has acquired Aberdeen Property Investors Belgium, a company managing over 1 million m[sup]2[/sup] of commercial real estate across the country.
French property manager BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management has acquired Aberdeen Property Investors Belgium, a company managing over 1 million m2 of commercial real estate across the country.
Aberdeen's Belgian unit, previously known as Catella Property Management, was founded in 1991 and is headed by managing director Bart van den Berg and director Bruno de Wolf. It is based in Brussels, and manages commercial real estate on behalf of over 30 international clients.
BNP Paribas said its Belgian unit will manage around 2.2 million m2 of commercial real estate following the transaction. BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management is headed by Frederic van de Putte and serves 45 national and international clients.
Henry Gast, chairman of BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management said: 'BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management has considerably strengthened its leadership in Europe with a total of 25 million m2m of commercial real estate under management.'
Lauric Leclerc, CEO, will oversee the integration of the new company into the BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management business line. BNP Paribas Real Estate has 70 employees in Belgium working in Asset Management, Property Management, Brokerage, Expertise and Advisory.
