Thomas will join BNP Paribas from LaSalle Investment Management, where he spent the past 18 years, latterly as head of Germany.

In his new position he will succeed Reinhard Mattern, who will step down as CEO due to the expiration of his contract. However, he will continue to work for BNP Paribas as senior advisor.

‘Claus Thomas has years of expertise working with German customers and looks back at a long career with a global corporation. That makes him the perfect choice to further strengthen our active management business in Germany,’ said Barbara Knoflach, global head of investment management at BNP Paribas Real Estate.
