The French asset management arm of BNP Paribas REIM has acquired nine assets representing a total investment of €130 mln since the beginning of the year.

The properties were bought on behalf of the group's managed funds, including the SCPI Pierre Sélection and Accimmo Pierre investment vehicles.

In the retail sector, the company has purchased a city centre asset in Mans occupied by cosmetics retailer Kiko, a Carrefour market in Villefranche-sur-Saône, two grocery units in Morangis and a bank branch in Grenoble.

'We are targeting shops in medium-sized cities and areas where customers are captive. Investors continue to show great interest in this dynamic sector with high adaptability,' commented Jacqueline Faisant, CEO of BNP Paribas REIM France.

According to Faisant, the group is targeting some €250 mln of investment in the commercial real estate sector in 2014.
