BNP Paribas REIM France has bought four clinics in Paris and the inner suburbs operated by Générale de Santé from Foncière des Régions.

The portfolio includes the Blomet clinic, in the 15th arrondissement, providing an area of 3,380 m2 and 68 beds; the Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire clinic, in the fifth arrondissement, offering an area of 8,500 m2 and 196 beds; the Marcel Sembat clinic, in Boulogne-Billancourt, with an area of 3,540 m2 and 79 beds; as well as an SSR/PSY (Aftercare and Rehabilitation/Psychiatric) clinic with 2,735 m2 in the Landes.

'This new investment is part of our asset diversification strategy on behalf of our clients and demonstrates our interest in the health sector, which is less sensitive to economic cycles,' said Jacqueline Faisant, chairman of BNP Paribas REIM France. 'HPF1 will continue to invest in 2014 and is currently studying the purchase of several other health institutions for a total of more than €100 mln,' she added.

HPF I, launched in 2011, owns a total of 19 assets, with a total property value of more than €240 mln.
