BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management (BNP Paribas REIM) has named Italian Vincenzo Nocerino as global CIO as the French group reveals three changes at the firm.
Nocerino is replacing Benoît De La Boulaye who this month started as CIO Europe at Edmond de Rothschild REIM. De La Boulaye had been with BNP REIM for 12 years in various roles.
BNP Paribas REIM said Nocerino, who joined in 2020 having been head of transactions at UBS Real Estate & Private Markets, would remain CEO of BNP Paribas REIM Italy and a member of the executive board and be tasked with supporting growth of the entire business across all asset classes, regions and risk profiles.
Meanwhile, Laurence Weydert has been appointed global head of asset management – a new position specifically created as the group seeks a more consistent and active portfolio management approach across Europe. Weydert reports to Nocerino and remains head of asset management France & Benelux, a position held since January 2022.
Swati Srivastava has been appointed as country head UK, which the firm said emphasised the strategic importance of the UK business for the French company.
She also continues to serve as the head of institutional sales & investor relations for the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Nordics and international clients, a role she has fulfilled since November 2022.
BNP Paribas REIM has been under the leadership of global head, Jean-Maxime Jouis, since 2023. He replaced Nathalie Charles, who has since taken up non-executive director roles at Cofinimmo, Gecina, and as an independent board member at Blackstone.
