Anita Simaza, head of logistics and industrial at BNP Paribas Real Estate, has left the company and begun a new advisory firm called AS Real Estate.
AS Real Estate is based in the Netherlands and is offering an independent service to connect global capital sources with investment opportunities in the asset class, Simaza said.
As part of the service, potential investors register their acquisition requirements for free, and then receive notice of opportunities that fit. Investors can continually update their requirements.
Simaza is well known in European industrial and logistics circles. She was with BNP Paribas Real Estate for four years, having previously worked at US giant Prologis where she was a director responsible for overseeing the company’s European valuations.
While at BNP Paribas Real Estate, she was elevated to head of logistics and industrial to succeed Logan Smith who moved to the client-side of the business. Smith departed BNP to work for Hines in June this year.
