BNP Paribas Real Estate is stepping up the pace of its international expansion drive with a new alliance in six Scandinavian and Baltic countries.

The partnership with local services provider Newsec covers Norway, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It encompasses the Transaction, Advisory & Valuation and Property Management business lines for corporate real estate.

Newsec, which is headquartered in Stockholm, is a full service property house in Northern Europe founded in 1994 and employs more than 500 people in the six countries. It booked a net income of nearly EUR 70 mln in 2011.

The agreement follows BNP Paribas' announcements earlier this year of new alliances in Turkey and the US.

BNP Paribas Real Estate's alliance network now consists of nearly 3,000 employees across 21 countries.
