BNP Paribas Real Estate said it has appointed David Aubin as managing director of its Real Estate Investment Management international business line, effective. He will report directly to Francis Benfeghoul, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate.
A member of the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Real Estate, Aubin's task will be to 'carry out the objectives of growth in assets under management through an ambitious equity acquisition programme, as well as to focus on international growth'. BNP Paribas REIM currently operates through seven offices in Western Europe.
Aubin previously worked as CEO of FIG Europe (Financial Institutions Group), which is part of the BNP Paribas Group. He holds a degree in Banking and Financial Law (Paris I) and at Northwestern University in Chicago (Investment Banking) and started as a fiscal lawyer at Coopers & Lybrand Luxembourg in 1992. He subsequently joined Arthur Andersen in Paris in 1997, and after having worked at SocGen's derivatives and Debt Capital Markets departments transferred to BNP Paribas in 2007.
