BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Anita Simaza as head of logistics and industrial, working across the firm's pan-European platform.
Simaza will report to Larry Young, head of the firm's international investment group, and succeeds Logan Smith, who will be moving to the client side at the Amsterdam office of Aevitas Property Partners.
'We are very pleased to mark the next phase of growth for our European Logistics Platform - a strategic focus of IIG and BNP Paribas Real Estate - in response to ever stronger client demand, and their need for world-class knowledge,' said Young.
Before joining BNP Paribas Real Estate's logistics team in January 2016, Simaza served as a director at Prologis, responsible for overseeing all of Prologis’ European valuations. Prior to this, she worked in London with Knight Frank from 2008-2011, after a spell at Savills.
'I am excited by the opportunity to lead our international logistics team at a time when investor interest in logistics assets has never been higher,' said Simaza. 'The logistics market is more than ever attracting international investors who consider logistics assets as a way to extend their portfolio holdings, driven by rise in e-commerce, cross-border trade and positive economic fundamentals,' she concluded.
