BNP Paribas Real Estate (BNPPRE) has further strengthened its UK hotels team with three new hires.
The appointments include Jonathan Parrish, who has been made senior director of UK hotels; James Laskowski, associate director of UK hotels; and Mattia Cavenati, associate at pan-European hotels.
Parrish and Laskowski, who both began their new roles during the summer, both gained experience at Christie & Co and Savills respectively.
Parrish will work alongside Richard Talbot-Williams and be responsible for UK hotel investment, going concern brokerage and development advice, while also helping to further build the BNP Paribas real estate hotels proposition within the UK.
Laskowski will also focus on UK hotel investment brokerage, but with a specific emphasis on the London market.
They will both report to Talbot-Williams, who is senior director of alternative markets - hotels at BNP Paribas Real Estate.
Additionally, Cavenati, associate, has also joined the team to focus on pan-European hotels. Cavenati, who previously worked at HVS, is supporting Artyom Perevedentsev with pan-European hotel outreach, which also includes the UK.
The team is reinforced by dedicated hotel research support provided by Rebecca Shafran under her broader alternative markets research remit. Finally, with extensive experience of hotel operations Bianca Ciumacencu has joined the BNPPRE team of analysts and will provide valuable support to the hotels team.
Talbot-Williams said: 'After the most difficult eighteen months ever for the hospitality and travel industries we are now seeing a strong bounce back in investor appetite with substantial capital readied for deployment as international travel and time away becomes a priority for consumers again.
'The addition of Jonathan, James, and Mattia will create a formidable team to support BNPPRE’s growth ambitions in the hotel sector. As activity levels increase again, in what can be a very complex market, the expertise of our team means that current and future, clients are in excellent hands.'
