Global investment giant Blackstone, the world's largest private landlord, is reported to have acquired 7 million ft2 (650,000 m2) of logistics assets at Heywood Distribution Park and Trafford Park in Greater Manchester, UK.
THe industrial properties were acquired from alternatives-focused asset manager Harbert Management Corporation, a global firm headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama.
Financial details were not disclosed, but according to Costar, the deal was in the region of £480 mln (€542 mln).
The deal is likely to include several warehouses at Heywood Distribution Park, plus at least four properties at Trafford Park. These have been reported to include Trafford Point and North Point units one and two.
Harbert acquired some 2 million ft2 of properties at Trafford Park in 2012 from Segro before later developing a further 2 million ft2 tranche in partnership with Canmoor.
Warrington Council had previously been in negotiations for Harbert's Trafford Park assets in 2020 but the deal fell through.
