US asset management giant Blackstone has announced the launch of a new concept for occupiers at its major London business campus of Chiswick Park.
The business park, which was bought by Blackstone in 2011 and then partly sold to China Investment Corporation, has unveiled a new 13,864 sq ft (1,290 m2) fully wired and furnished space offering 60 to 122 desks in a bid to attract smaller firms.
The offering represents an additional letting strategy for Chiswick Park which had so far attracted major corporates including some of the world's best-known firms such as Starbucks, Walt Disney and Ericsson.
The arrangement, called Your Space, has been designed by design firm Gensler, and includes a range of formal and informal meeting spaces and sound-proof booths.
'Your Space forms part of our ongoing strategy to engage constructively with occupiers,' commented Ed Hodgson, director at Blackstone Property Management. 'Small businesses do not always have the expertise and resources to design and procure their cat B fit out, nor do they have the inclination. We have taken care of that process from start to finish so businesses can relocate seamlessly and be up-and-running immediately assisted by our new short form and flexible lease. Your Space critically alleviates the burden of occupier capital expenditure which is regularly something small and fast growing businesses find challenging.'
