Union protestors against president Emmanel Macron’s pension reforms forced their way into the foyer of Le Centorial in rue Quatre Septembre on Thursday.

France entered its 11th day of protests and strikes as unions and the government failed to break the deadlock during talks.

It is thought that Germany's Deka Immobilien still owns the property having acquired the historic building in 2000.

It is one of two offices that BlackRock occupies in Paris.

Railway worker protestors reportedly targeted the foyer of Le Centorial letting off firecrackers in the process because BlackRock is one of the largest managers of pension funds in the world. It is not thought to be the only tenant in the building.
