European independent real estate investment firm Blackbrook Capital has announced the promotion of Jon Strang to managing director.
Strang, who will now also be leading Blackbrook’s investment team, joined the company in September 2020 and has been instrumental in building Blackbrook’s portfolio across Europe. His team includes Alice Vacani and Sameera Kolhatkar who have also both been promoted to vice president.

The promotions come in the wake of Blackbrook’s portfolio expandin to over €500 mln assets under management across six countries in Europe.
As part of its broader investment strategy, Blackbrook’s ESG initiatives also began implementation in 2021 with the goal of materially reducing the carbon footprint of its portfolio. Currently, more than 70% of Blackbrook’s portfolio is green certified, with a goal to have a 100% ESG-optimised portfolio.
