Bilfinger Real Estate has secured new contracts or extended existing ones with Union Investment Real Estate for a total of 860,000 m2 across Europe.
Union Investment has extended Bilfinger's property management contract in place for the German portfolio comprising 690,000 m2 of commercial space and hotels including well-known assets such as the DomAquarée office, retail, and hotel complex in Berlin-Mitte and the five-star hotel Le Méridien in Stuttgart.
In addition, Union has also awarded a new property management services contract for a further 16 properties in Germany. The lion's share of these buildings, comprising around 132,000 m2 of space, is formed by office, retail, and hotel buildings in large cities such as Hamburg, Hanover, Dresden, Nuremberg, Mainz, Wiesbaden, and Munich.
Since May of this year, Bilfinger Real Estate has also been managing Union Investment's properties in Poland. They include a portfolio of three hotels offering a total area of around 43,000 m2. The properties under managements are two Radisson Blu hotels, one in Kraków and the other in Wroclaw, as well as the Hampton by Hilton hotel next to the main train station of Warsaw.
