Following the takeover of UK-based commercial property advisor GVA earlier this year, German engineering and services group Bilfinger is expanding its investment advisory services arm with a number of appointments across the globe.
The group, which in June completed the purchase of the 190-year old GVA agency, has announced the expansion of its cross-border real estate advisory services with new hires in Melbourne, Toronto and London. The company is also the majority shareholder in GVA Worldwide, a partnership of independent commercial real estate companies serving over 50 markets throughout Europe and Asia.
In London, Bilfinger’s GVA has recruited Chris Gore MRICS from JLL to lead its City of London investment team. Gore will join GVA as a senior director with a clear mandate to bolster, strengthen and expand the company's existing investment and agency operations.
On the other side of the globe, Ron Perlmutter has been appointed as director Real Estate at Bilfinger Real Estate Canada in Toronto and Nick Bourke will fulfil the same role with Bilfinger Real Estate Australia in Melbourne. Both senior executives will be responsible for the growth of real-estate services in their respective regions including transactions & capital markets, property development consulting and real-estate management services.
Prior to their appointment, Nick Bourke was with competitor DTZ and Ron Perlmutter was with Primaris Management.
The recent hires are part of Bilfinger's strategy to expand its capital market services across the globe, according to a company spokesperson.
'These new senior appointments herald the inauguration of our global real estate consultancy operations. With our presence in Europe, North America and Australia, this sets in motion our ambition to establish a new force in global real estate consultancy,’ commented Rob Bould, Executive Vice President Division Real Estate, Bilfinger SE and CEO of GVA.
