BIG Poland has acquired Park Glinianka in Lubna, on the outskirts of Warsaw, from retail park developer Redkom Development for an undisclosed price.
Built in 2023, Park Glinianka spans over 10,200 m2 and boasts a prime location on a major road leading directly to Warsaw's city center.
The shopping offer includes popular brands like Carrefour, Dealz, Sinsay, Maxi Zoo, Pepco, Verona, and the Sphinx restaurant, while Poland’s first kids' playroom is set to open in September.
The recreational area consists of a small lake, a playground with trampolines, and a beach volleyball match.
The park’s amenities include ample, easy-access parking, modern restrooms, and eco-friendly features like electric vehicle charging stations.
Eran Levy, BIG Poland CEO, said: ‘This is a truly extraordinary facility that we believe will set trends of retail parks development for the coming years. Thanks to its functional, architectural, and ecological solutions, it not only meets the highest investment expectations but, most importantly, it is already a place for customers that they identify with and consider as their own. Additionally, a great location and a very attractive offer of shops and services make Park Glinianka a perfect fit for our development strategy. ‘
Glinianka Park has received numerous awards, distinctions, and nominations, including winner of the Retail Development Poland category of the European Property Awards 2023, a nomination for a European award in the Architecture Landscape category, and nominations for CIJ Awards Poland and CEEQA Awards 2024.
Part of Israel’s BIG Shopping Centres group, BIG Poland has been expanding its presence in the Polish retail park market since 2022. Its portfolio currently consists of three retail parks - Lubna near Warsaw, Lubin, and Andrychów.
Redkom Development last year completed 27,000 m2 of retail parks with another 60,000 m2 currently under development.
