Global real estate manager BGO and German project developer thirteen seven have completed the construction of Mittelweser Park, Lower Saxony.
Marketed as the largest logistics park in northern Germany, the 127,140 m2 asset is located in Estorf near Nienburg an der Weser. It has been partially pre-leased to ID Logistics, which will operate the asset for its cosmetics e-commerce business.
The property features high sustainability performance features and credentials, namely DGNB Gold and EPC A rating.
The park covers an area of more than 270,000 m2 and offers units ranging from 3,698 to 93,944 m2.
Jürgen Diehl, managing director, BGO, said: ‘We will have the opportunity to attract large-scale logistics businesses in a modern, state-of-the-art and environmentally high-performing facility, with immediate availability. With our investment in Mittelweser Park, we are providing e-commerce companies, logistics companies, and freight forwarders with high-quality and flexible space at an attractive price point.’
Robin Otto, CEO of ID Logistics Germany, commented: ‘We have put the Mittelweser Park on our German and international logistics map. It enables us to implement and operate a state-of-the-art and sustainably built scheme for e-commerce cosmetics in the Hanover region with around 270 employees at its peak.’
Mirko Eickhoff, managing director of thirteen seven, added: ‘The attractive rent level makes Mittelweser Park particularly interesting for tenders, as it can also compete with the excess space which may be offered for sub-let at attractive terms by other operators. From our point of view, the structural and economic advantages of the Mittelweser Park form a good package and also a good connection to the regions of Hanover and Bremen.’
The park is ideally located in north-western Germany and provides easy access to all German seaports. It is less than two hours by truck from Hanover, Bremen, Hamburg, and Bielefeld.
thirteen seven has appointed JLL and BNP Paribas Real Estate to market the newly completed Mittelweser Park, while Redhead Management Real Estate will manage the property.
