An unnamed German open-ended property fund has emerged as the buyer of the so-called Beta tower in San Donato Milanese near Milan, in a deal brokered by Cushman & Wakefield.

The tower, located at Via dell’Unione Europea 4, was put on the market earlier this year with an asking price believed to be in the region of €30 mln.

The office scheme provides 16,300 m2 of space over nine floors and currently houses the headquarters of BMW with other corporate occupiers including Snam, Schlumberger and Nuovo Pignone.

'The sale of this established and quality office asset highlights once again the strong demand for quality office investment and further enhances the ongoing interest from international investors for core assets in Italy,' said Giacomo De Feo, associate of the capital markets business space at C&W.
