Bestseller trade five well-established brands in Ireland, including ladies wear brands Vero Moda, Vila and Only, menswear Jack & Jones and childrens wear brand name it. The retail group also plans to expand its accessories brand Pieces and Mama-Licious, which sells maternity clothing.

Requirements for the nationwide expansion range from approximately 50-m2 accessories stores, 150 m2 to 250 m2 stores in smaller market towns and shopping centres, to full 1,000 m2 flagship stores in retail centres.

Larry Brennan, director at Savills Ireland said: 'Bestseller's decision marks a significant endorsement of Ireland’s retail market and is opportunistic in its timing as there are particularly attractive deals to be had for market entrants or those businesses seeking to expand. It is estimated that approximately 210 new jobs will be created as a result of the expansion which is fantastic news for the Irish economy'.

Bestseller trade under a retail partner model, with local retail partners acquiring and trading the stores under the various Bestseller brands.
