Bernhard Kraus has joined the management team at Union Investment Institutional Property. He is responsible for securities transactions as part of pooled real estate solutions. In addition to his new role, Kraus is a director of Frankfurt-based sister company Union Investment Institutional, a position he has held since 2008 and where he is responsible for product management, fund administration and risk control.

Christoph Schumacher and Wolfgang Kessler are the other members of the management team at Union Investment Institutional Property.
Over the past year, Union Investment Institutional Property has further expanded its product offerings for institutional investors. In addition to open-ended real estate retail funds and special real estate funds, the company offers management of individual mandates and pooled solutions while also providing fund administration services.
In 2011, three new products attracted binding capital commitments totalling some EUR 900 mln. The company is currently in the process of establishing three further special real estate funds with assets under management expected to exceed EUR 700 mln.
