Bernd Kottmann has been appointed as the new chief executive of GSW, the German listed residential property company.
Bernd Kottmann has been appointed as the new chief executive of GSW, the German listed residential property company.
Kottmann takes up the position on 16 April to replace Thomas Zinnöcker.
On 11 March, GSW said that Zinnöcker is leaving the company at his own request 'to explore new career ambitions'.
Kottmann has more than 25 years of experience as a management and supervisory board member of listed real estate companies. He has handled a real estate transaction volume of more than €10 bn in numerous asset and share deals over that period.
From 1997 to 2009, he held a number of senior management roles with IVG Immobilien, Germany's largest listed property company.
Since 2010, Kottmann has advised German and international real estate and financing clients - including a large German bad bank - on real estate issues. He was also deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Hamborner REIT and a member of the advisory committee of Patrizia Immobilien.
