The children of Italy’s late former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi have agreed to sell the Villa Certosa seaside estate on the island of Sardinia for a price of €500 mln.
According to a news report by the Financial Times, advisory firm Dils has been mandated to sell the asset in a closed, private sales process launching this month. The asset was last valued in 2021 at €250 mln.
Bought at the end of the 1980s, the 68-room, 110-hectare villa, with amphitheatre, swimming pools, tennis courts, various gardens equivalent to eighty football pitches, has hosted the likes of George W Bush and Tony Blair. Vladimir Putin was there several times in the early years of the new century.
