Two German banks have granted Unibail-Rodamco a €200 mln loan for Galeria Mokotów shopping centre in Warsaw.
Berlin Hyp and Helaba are acting as co-arrangers and lenders for the whole loan amount. Berlin Hyp is the agent of the facility. The loan is to refinance an existing €205 mln facility, which was described as one of the largest refinancing deals in Central and Eastern Europe during 2009.
Galeria Mokotów is located in the heart of Warsaw's modern Mokotów business district. As one of the most visited shopping centres in the Polish capital it has been extended several times since its completion in 2000, most recently in 2013.
Galeria Mokotów comprises 66,800 m2 of gross leasable area with 260 shop units. Tenants include international brands such as Zara, H&M and Peek & Cloppenburg as well as a Cinema City multiplex cinema. The property is owned and managed by Unibail-Rodamco, Europe's largest listed commercial property company specialised in shopping centres in Europe's largest cities.
