Amazon project manager Andrea Benvenuti has joined pan-European distribution specialist Logistics Capital Partners as a partner.

Benvenuti spent three years working on developing and constructing buildings for the online distributor. Prior to that he was first vice-president and head of southern Europe project management at Prologis, where he developed over 500,000 m2 of speculative and built-to-suit logistics buildings for multiple tenants.

He will take on the role of managing director of development and construction at Logistics Capital Partners as well as being a shareholder.

Managing director Kristof Verstraeten said: ‘Individually Andrea has unrivalled knowledge and a track record of delivering the largest and most complex logistics facilities built in Europe. He has been at the cutting edge of property development for the logistics and retailing sectors, and that experience and proven capability is absolutely invaluable.’

Benvenuti said: ‘At this stage of my career I am convinced that this is the right move for me: an extremely exciting opportunity to use my insights to drive LCP’s construction and development activity and to use the expertise I have acquired during 18 years across Europe.’

Logistics Capital Partners was launced in April this year by Verstraeten, previously commercial director Europe at Goodman, and James Markby, the former head of CBRE’s European industrial and logistics investment team. Based in London and Belgium, the company operates across the UK and continental Europe specialising in development, project management, asset management and strategic real estate.
