Private equity group BentallGreenOak has signed contracts with Mulberry Developments to deliver a 1.1 million sq ft (103,000 m2) logistics campus in Doncaster, UK, for Eddie Stobart, part of the Culina Logistics Group.
The campus will comprise two separate, BREEAM Excellent, 18-metre-high, cross-docked 565,000 sq ft warehouses that will be delivered to Eddie Stobart in the middle of 2022.
'We are delighted to have been able to work in close partnership with the excellent teams at Mulberry and Eddie Stobart to deliver this large and innovative transaction,' said Gareth Purcell, managing director at BentallGreenOak. 'We continue to have high conviction in the UK logistics market with this deal representing our ninth acquisition in the last ten months with a total combined area of approximately 7m sq ft.'
'It is always a great pleasure when deals of this scale come together, especially when there is such a close partnership between tenant, investor and developer,' said Mark Day, development director at Mulberry. 'We are looking forward to seeing these two buildings complete next year and have now started marketing a second phase which can provide warehouse buildings of up to 1.2m sq ft.'
M1 Agency, Taylor Wessing and Hollis advised BentallGreenOak. Gowling WLG advised Mulberry and Roebuck Asset Management acted for Eddie Stobart Limited.
