UK-based private equity fund manager Benson Elliot has bought a 6,600 m2 office building in Glasgow, Scotland, in an off-market transaction.

The seven-storey former Scottish Amicable headquarters at 150 St Vincent Street was acquired from UK institution F&C REIT. Tenants include Allianz, JLL, monster.com and Irwin Mitchell.

James Jakeman, principal at Benson Elliot, said: ‘We expect a focused capital investment programme, on the back of limited quality supply and significant growth in tenant demand, will enable us to deliver strong income improvement at the property.’
