Belgian REIT Befimmo has announced the departure of its chief financial officer (CFO), Laurent Carlier.
Carlier will pursue other career opportunities.
Jean-Philip Vroninks, CEO of Befimmo, said, 'On behalf of the whole team, I would like to thank Laurent for his commitment, professionalism and contribution to Befimmo.
'We are also grateful for his support to the Belgian REIT sector, through his presidency of the Be-REIT Association and his involvement in EPRA. Since joining Befimmo in 2006, Laurent has been a valuable member of our executive team and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.'
Added Carlier: 'It has been a great pleasure to serve as CFO for 15 years at Befimmo.
'I am very proud of what we have achieved together during my tenure, as well as how we endeavoured together to remain at the cutting edge of our industry.'
Befimmo has seen some changes at the top this year, with CEO Vroniks joining the company from JLL in May 2021. Former CEO Benoit De Blieck has remained within the firm as a non-executive director, in a mandate expiring April 2022.
Befimmo has initiated a formal search for a new CFO and Carlier said he would be available to support the transition until 31 December 2021.
Vroninks will be temporarily taking on the areas for which Carlier held responsibility, and will be supported by the finance team and the executive committee during the interim-period.
