Stuart Beety has been appointed senior vice president business development at Skanska Commercial Development Europe, joining the team with immediate effect. The office-focused developer operates in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania.
Beety will report directly to the team’s CEO and President, Katarzyna Zawodna.
'I’m delighted to welcome Stuart to the team. His international experience, which includes a deep understanding of occupier requirements and perspectives, especially in the financial sector, will help Skanska deliver more productive, sustainable and technologically advanced workplaces in the CEE region,' commented Zawodna.
Beety has almost 20 years’ experience working in real estate and financial markets, and was most recently head of corporate real estate EMEA at Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for real estate strategy and portfolio management. Prior to that, he worked at Morgan Stanley in New York and London.
'In an increasingly competitive market, Stuart will help Skanska to be the commercial developer of choice for clients seeking high-quality office space, particularly in Warsaw, which is rapidly becoming the financial hub of the region,' Zawodna added.
Based in London, Beety will be responsible for business development and market making in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania. His role is to strengthen international occupier engagement and foster long-term collaborative partnerships with clients across Western Europe who seek office space in central and eastern Europe.
