German lender BayernLB has provided a new €125 mln green loan for the 2Amsterdam high-rise building complex in Amsterdam's Zuidas district owned by Commerz Real's Hausinvest fund.
The financing coincides with the completion of redevelopment work on the tower which dates back to the early 1990s. Under the revamp, it was transformed into a mixed-use asset including a 330-room Melia Hotel and a 9,000 m2 multi-tenant office tower.
The transformation into a BREEAM Excellent building is part of the fund’s sustainability strategy which targets a climate neutral real estate portfolio by 2050.
The financing has been arranged as a 'green loan' by BayernLB as single lender.
