London mixed-use development Battersea Power Station has appointed James Carragher as estates director, as well as hiring four new team members for the scheme's estate management division.
With phase 1 already completed, the first new residents will be moving into the Grade II listed power station from the Spring, and Electric Boulevard later in the year. Some 500,000 ft2 (46,450 m2) of office space in the Power Station will also be handed over to Apple to commence fit out for its UK Campus. The Northern Line extension and Zone 1 London Underground Station at Battersea Power Station will open in the Autumn.
Carragher will be responsible for managing the operational performance of Battersea Power Station’s growing estate. He joins from a nine year spell at Landsec, where he was most recently operations director for the Central London portfolio, and previously general manager for the Nova development in Victoria.
His new colleagues include David Collins, head of retail and commercial services, who joins from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield where he spent ten years, most recently as senior operations manager.
Yiannis Moraitopolous has been appointed as head of energy services, while Nipa Bhanu becomes head of residential operations. Meanwhile, Nadeem Ghous Chaudary has been hired as residential property manager, bringing experience in the operational management of prestigious prime location buildings.

'In line with the progress being made across the site, we are pleased to be strengthening our Estate Management team with this first wave of new hires to be led by James who will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the operational processes involved in the next stages of the project.
'James and colleagues bring significant experience and expertise, which will be required as we transition towards the opening of the next two phases of the development and we look forward to welcoming them all to the team.
Carragher said: '2021 is set to be a hugely transformative year for Battersea Power Station and I am pleased to be joining the team at such an exciting stage in its journey.
'The next 12 months include several notable milestone moments for the Project and I look forward to working with the team to deliver a robust operational strategy to support these.'
Once open to the public, Battersea Power Station will house over 100 shops, bars and restaurants, as well as unique events and leisure spaces, including a glass elevator, the Chimney Lift Experience. The six-acre Power Station Park sits directly in front of the building on the banks of the river.
